IN Laban Movement Studies

The Laban Movement Studies form a structured system, in order to be able to comprehensively experience, understand and describe movement. We explore the categories of body, space, shape and effort and learn about different aspects of movement. In doing so, the own preferences become clear, new ones are tried out and can be integrated into the own movement repertoire. We work with free and structured movement sequences, collect our experiences in the conversation and learn to identify the experiences, to find them in Laban's categories and to write them down with movement symbols.

The introductory courses in Bartenieff Fundamentals and in Laban Movement Studies are one of the prerequisites for the EUROLAB Certificate Programs in Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies.
